- Vincent Mina
Vincent will speak on – Gardening in South Maui for the “health of it”.
Co-Owner Kahanu Aina Greens in business since 1993, Former President Hawaii Organic Farmers Assoc.1997-98. Currently a trustee of HOFA. Secretary of Maui County Farm Bureau, board member since 2005. Co-chair-State Organic Committee, Founder and President Maui Aloha Aina Assoc. 2001 to present. This organization sponsors the annual Body and Soil Health Conference October 11th and 12th 2008 with info at http://mauialohaaina.org/.
- Gabriel Audent
Gabriel is passionate about permaculture. He helps aspiring farmers move from dream to sustainability through the delivery of customized Agriculture Entrepreneurship Training Programs and the incubation of socially beneficial enterprises. From 2000 to 2004, Gabriel was Project Manager for the Molokai Agriculture Development Program. Since that time, he has been involved in the design and implementation of innovative wellness training programs in collaboration with John Gray, world-famous creator of the Mars Venus brand.
We had an overflow crowd at our first meeting and it is so encouraging to see such a high level of interest in sustainable living practices. Our monthly meetings will feature great speakers and audience involvement intended to move and inspire people to go home and be able to take immediate actions to live more sustainably and in harmony with the aina”
A group discussion and planning action items will follow the speakers.
Light pupus will be served.
Directions to Kihei Charter School: Coming from south Kihei, take the Pi’ilani Hwy toward the Mokulele. Turn right (mauka) onto Ohukai Road. Take your second right. Go straight to the very end and turn left around the building. Turn left into the next bay. KCS is located on the right.
