Self-guided “Parade of Ponds” of 10 of the finest water features including ponds, streams and waterfalls in South Maui as built by Hawaiian Waterfalls.

Saturday January 31st
10 a.m.–2 p.m.

Tickets will be $10 and all the proceeds will be a donation to South Maui Sustainability, an organization working to bring the South Maui Community together around issues of living more sustainably. Tickets can be purchased the day of the event at either 1536 Halama Street (Makai of S Kihei Rd) or 3500 A Kehala Dr (corner of Mikioi) after 9:30 AM and purchasers will be given a map to the 10 homes on the tour and can tour them at their leisure. No charge for keiki. Cash or checks will be accepted. Checks made to ‘Maui Tomorrow – SMS’ as Maui Tomorrow is the financial umbrella for South Maui Sustainability.

Owner of Hawaiian Waterfalls Curt Bennett says “I am just one small vendor trying to help out a good cause, but I’m sure many others can get creative about ways to support South Maui Sustainability in doing their great work in the community”

Hawaiian Waterfalls has been building water features for over 8 years on Maui and has over 100 to their credit. Bennett says “a properly designed water feature can use less water than other plantings and actually be more sustainable”

South Maui Sustainability wishes to thank Hawaiian Waterfalls and the owners of the homes that have graciously agreed to allow people to visit their properties. Owner Bennett says he is happy to help the efforts of South Maui Sustainability as they have been working hard to help the community live more sustainably.

“Anyone wishing to get good ideas on how to improve the landscaping of their property will find something of interest on this tour and the proceeds will be going to a good cause.”
