GREENING YOUR LIFESTYLE: SUSTAINABLE GARDENS AND LANDSCAPING

Kihei Charter School, Kihei, Maui, HI
Doors open 6 p.m. for light pupus and talk story
Program: Begins: 6:30 p.m.– Ends 8:00 p.m.

Join us for the first presentation in our Greening Your Lifestyle series. Come get inspired to create gardens and landscapes that conserve water and benefit from worm castings through on-site composting with worms. SMS is fortunate to have two wonderful speakers for this free community event:

Susan Wyche, an award-winning sustainable landscape designer from Kihei, will share tips from her many years of greening landscapes and gardens. Her innovative designs help to conserve water, renew soil, integrate edible plants, and reduce maintenance. Susan has been featured in several publications, including Sunset Magazine’s Secret Gardens, Easy Care Landscaping, and the San Francisco Chronicle. She serves as valuable resource as a core member of SMS.

Joy Webster is a 34-year resident of Maui, vermiculture enthusiast, and formerly executive director of Maui Recycling Group and editor of the Maui Recycling Guide. Her presentation will include a “personal” introduction to the worms that she uses to recycle kitchen scraps and waste paper.

Can anyone tell me when the next RAW food group meeting is? I have lost contact with Andrea, and cannot find the group. It used to be posted here at SMS. Please email me with info.

Also, I am trying to find Andrea, because I have coconuts (too many) from my Thei coconut tree. It is overproducing, and I love the water from these, but need to give them away.
    thanks,
