ADVANCED PHOTOVOLTAIC RESEARCHER
Department of Defense Grant Writer Wanted

CleanAndGreenJobs is applying for a $3.888M Air Force R&D grant for “state of the art” Solar photovoltaic development for the supercomputer at the Maui Tech Park. Our goal, in addition to supporting improvement of PV technology, is to implement our green collar training program. We work with returning Iraqi veterans, recently released prisoners and youth at risk. The Air Force Grant would pay for 12 months of R&D on solar pv that has already reached a technology readiness level (TRL) of 6 or 7. This would be followed by a 3 month evaluation. After this period, the fate of the solar panels is open. This could be the chance to power the Kihei Wastewater Treatment plant, and create a “green collar” training program for Maui. If you or anyone you know is interested in this projects and has the above skills, please contact Netra Halperin, Consultant for CleanAndGreenJobs @ (808) 359-1673 or email netra@maui08.com

Further info. about CleanAndGreenJobs:
Van Jones, founder of one of our partner organization, Green for All, and the current Special Advisor for Green Jobs and Innovation at the White House Council on Environmental Quality, explains our program in a very entertaining 5 minute, Colbert Report

On the human services side of our program we also have former gang member, Aqeela Sherrils, founder of the Forgiveness Project, who is intimately familiar with gang violence, insightfully explaining the root causes and the real solutions. (see video)

CleanAndGreenJobs is a project of Natural Capitalism Solutions founded by Hunter Lovins, a recent speaker at the Focus Green Lecture Series. Hunter’s prior work has been credited with helping stop the proposed coal plant here in colorado. Hunter has been recognized by Time Magazine as a “Hero for the Planet.” Her recent presentation to Google on the business case for climate protection is available on YouTube For more information, please contact Maui Consultant, Netra Halperin (808) 359-1673 netra@maui08.com
