Testify for Bike Paths

The Maui County Council will be holding Public Meetings around Maui to hear testimony on the proposed 2013 Fiscal Year Budget. There are a number of bicycle related capital improvement projects scheduled for this year.

These items are:

  • CBS-1036 Countywide Bikeway Improvements – IMPORTANT, $1.5mil Total)
  • CBS- 1044: Waipuilani Bikepath
  • CBS-1216 Safe Routes to Schools, Princess Nahi’ena’ena
  • CBS-1217 Safe Routes to Schools, Kamali’I Elementary

Road Resurfacing (along with and Bike Lanes and/or Shoulders)

  • CBS- 1013 Kamehameha Ave and Hina Ave Pavement Rehabilitation
  • CBS – 1028 Wakea Ave Resurfacing from Kaahumanu Ave to Pu’unene Ave
  • CBS – Haili’imaile Road Safety Improvements Phase 2

Please attend one of these meetings or send in testimony.

All meetings are open to the public and with the exception of the Wailuku-Waihe’e-Waikapu-Kahului district meeting, are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. as follows:

  • Monday, April 2, 2012, Kihei Community Center, Main Hall, 303 East Lipoa Street, Kihei, Maui – South Maui District
  • Wednesday, April 4, 2012, Mitchell Pauole Center, Main Hall, 90 Ainoa Street, Kaunakakai, Molokai – Molokai District
  • Monday, April 9, 2012 at 6:30 p.m., Pomaikai Elementary School Cafeteria, 4650 South Kamehameha Avenue, Kahului, Maui – Wailuku-Waihe’e-Waikapu and Kahului Districts
  • Wednesday, April 11, 2012, Lahaina Civic Center, Social Hall, 1840 Honoapiilani Highway, Lahaina, Maui West Maui District
  • Friday, April 13, 2012, Lanai Senior Center, 309 7th Street, Lanai City, Lanai District
  • Monday, April 16, 2012, Helene Social Hall, 174 Keawa Road (Hana Bay), Hana, Maui – East Maui District (Hana-Keanae-Kailua)
  • Wednesday, April 18, 2012, Mayor Hannibal Tavares Community Center, Social Hall, 91 Pukalani Street, Pukalani, Maui – Upcountry District (Pukalani-Kula-Ulupalakua)
