MEO Distributes $200,000 in Food Coupons to Seniors

Maui Economic Opportunity, Inc. (MEO) has been qualifying seniors 60 and over and distributing $50.00 in coupons to those deemed eligible since May 15. In order to qualify for the coupons, seniors must be at or below 185% of the federal poverty level. That means an individual could not earn more than $ 22,126 annually. The coupons must be spent before September 30. More than 4,000 seniors have received the coupons that are good only for fresh, unprocessed, fruits, vegetables, and herbs.
